If, as an employer, you are interested in hosting a PERCÉ PEI participant, please consider the following points:

Who can participate?

We have very few restrictions to determine which employers can or cannot participate in the PERCÉ program. One of our biggest objectives is however to ensure that the employer has extensive experience in the PERCÉ intern's field of study. Whether the employer is a private business, a non-profit organization or a government agency matters very little as long as it can offer an enriching internship to the PERCÉ participant. We only have one restriction: federal agencies and departments are not eligible to receive PERCÉ funding.

Benefits:

When participating in the program, the employers receive:

  • A motivated student employee that has acquired some knowledge in the business field of the employer;
  • Financial support to help pay a portion of the student's salary (depending on the scale in place);
  • Possibility of a future employee for the employer;
  • A high possibility of obtaining a young bilingual employee (since a priority will be given to bilingual applicants).

Responsibilities:

After having offered orientation and adequate supervision to the participant, the employer must:

  • Give the student the opportunity to work in his field of studies as a regular employee would, so that the youth will be better equipped to determine if this type of work is really for him/her;
  • Act as a mentor for the youth and answer his/her questions;
  • Introduce him/her to various people in the industry so that he/she can create a network of contacts who work in this particular field

How does a business apply to participate?

If your business or organization is interested in participating in the PERCÉ Program, please fill in this Interest Form and submit it either directly online or print it and send it by the following means. The businesses or organizations are chosen in collaboration with the students and according to the participants' fields of studies.  If you already know a student who may be interested in the PERCÉ program and who would be a good fit for your company or organization, please mention it in the form since this detail could really help in setting up a potential match.
